Type Comparison & RECIPE BOOK (2019)
For an advanced typography course, I conducted extensive research and type specimen analysis to generate meaningful typography uses for multi-disciplinary projects. Two projects in particular allowed me to apply my type knowledge to make functional and purposeful work.

TYPE COMPARISON
To learn proper type specimen and anatomy dissection, myself and a peer were tasked to explore the visual comparisons and history of two hyper-similar sans-serif typefaces. The information collected was presented as a research report and a decorative poster, that was featured on a display of great student work in our major department building.

GOODIES Recipe Book
For an annual compilation of student work in the advanced typography course, I was tasked create branding and front matter for the student’s recipe book typography projects. Using an inviting and hunger-inducing color palette and illustrations (by teammate Ashley Chen), it was able to refresh the publication that was distributed at the end of the quarter.
My own recipe pages for a Candied Maple Bacon Ice Cream dessert are shown below. The typefaces used are briefly featured as well.
