I look at every task or assignment as an opportunity to challenge and hone my craft. Beyond my professional endeavors, I feel the need to constantly create and my obsession with pop culture truly feeds that. Here are just some passion projects that I feel display my personality and interests as a designer.
RUPAUL WEBSITE
I redesigned and constructed html/css code for a new official website for Drag superstar Rupaul Charles. I conceptualized the art direction using Adobe XD and multiple coding programs. I was able to make a consistent brand aesthetic and functional interactive features through code. From the photo manipulation and retouching to the written content, the entire project is an independent and original effort. The full site was tested for functionality and included many interactive features such as hovers and more.
ROGUE: The Zine
In this digital and printed zine, me and a peer took a deep dive into contemporary queer issues, particularly in the trans community. A collection of analyses of current topics of trans visibility, debates, and think pieces are featured. This project was presented to ethnic and queer studies students on campus.

POP CARDS
I designed, imposed, and packaged my own original deck of 50+ playing cards. My idea was to use popular female musical artists as the suits and created large bubble lettering to make a modern and minimalistic design and feel. Intensive use of Adobe InDesign’s master pages, and multiple exporting options or prepress was the focus of this project. I was also able to experience the production of the accompanying physical packaging box for the product.

Pipsticks Promotion
While applying for an intern position at Pipsticks, a local sticker subscription company, I was assigned to design a series of promotional social media posts with trendy themes. Wanting to display as much of their products as possible while keeping their zealous and clean brand, I constructed some mockups for product photography and flyers for the company’s third anniversary. Following certain branding guidelines, I was able to create a balance between sophistication and playfulness.
CLOUD WINE BOARD GAME
I fully illustrated a new print product for the team's assigned print company. I used knowledge of sales and marketing to construct a cohesive hypothetical marketing campaign using in-depth target market research and survey results/statistics. This project involved making a functional prototype and presenting it to the client in a sales pitch.
FUTURISM & PURISM X RUPAUL
In this mockup promotional poster for a prospective campaign for the twelfth season of Rupaul’s Drag Race, I tried to create a nod to art movements/styles Futurism and Purism eras using graphic design and color theory. The treatment of colors like the inversion in the hair and chaotic collaging and blocking of triangles are where I was most inspired by futurism and purism’s rogue nature. The colors are meant to be their most pure and saturated as they are the primary colors.
